To recuse, or not

You know how on DVDs (remember those?) there used to be "Easter eggs"? You could fiddle around in the menu screens and sometimes there would be surprise bonus features like outtakes or making-of featurettes.

Elena Kagan might be an Easter egg for the court. According to the Wikipedia article, liberals are afraid that she will draw the court substantially to the right. I can tell you, from my interactions with conservatives there is not a whiff of hope from them that such is the case.
On the other hand, if one can have faith in Resurrection then it is certainly possible that President Obama's Solicitor General-turned-Associate Justice will vote down the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. In fact it may have already happened. I also kept that lottery ticket I found last week at McDonalds.

Active liberty

Of particular note to me is the authorship of 1970's "The Uneasy Case for Copyright..." by Stephen Breyer. Hmm.

Qualified

I think I'm getting worse as I use the SketchClub app more. But who am I to judge?

Meanwhile, it's still Supreme Court week for the Home Team, and here's newbie Justice Sonia Sotomayor (who I am also unqualified to judge).

Late Justice

Not late as in deceased, late as in I missed his birthday in January. So Happy Belated Birthday John Roberts!

Oh Dear

Justice Anthony Kennedy is not having his birthday til July.

Read this, and imagine it's the British who are doing it, not Americans.

UNICEF is not MODOK

Happy Birthday Tony Lake!

I used SketchClub for this, mainly because it has an awesome in-app recording feature…a feature which I somehow botched, erasing the neat 17 second video file it produced. Oh, well, maybe yesterday.

UnLikeness

Happy Birthday Rachel Maddow!

This was done with no reference, as a test of the iPad SketchClub app's screen recording feature.
All apologies to Ms. Maddow.
